1- On this release the "Restored Scenes" feature contains both the scenes that were restored and inserted into the extended edition of the movie as well as a sub-section of scenes entitled "Additional Restored Scenes" that were restored and NOT inserted into the extended edition. Note that on other releases this sub-section is a completely separate feature.
2- On this release these scenes are a completely separate feature while on others they are a sub-section of the "Restored Scenes" feature.
3- This feature was included on the Circuit City Exclusive Bonus DVD for Superman Returns.
4- This disc can also be purchased separately.
5- There is an additional bonus DVD in the Ultimate Collector's Edition set that relates specifically to Superman Returns that is indexed under that title.
6- This feature can also be found on the Adventures of Superman: Season 1 DVD.
7- These shorts can also be found on various DVD releases of the Fleischer Superman animated episodes and some releases of Superman II.
8- Includes the cartoons: Super Rabbit, Snafuperman, and Stupor Duck.
9- This version of the film has been identified on the packaging and promotional material as "Extended," "Expanded" and "Director's Cut" but with the release of the new actual "Extended" Cut (189 minutes) this version is now being identified as the "Special Edition" version. Keep that in mind when looking at all previous releases as what is now the "Special Edition" will sometimes be identified as "Extended Edition" but it is NOT the longer 189 minute cut of the film.
10- This release also comes with a Motion Picture Anthology Special Edition Bluray and all the features on that release.
11- This release contains only the "Superman" screen tests which runs about 9 minutes long.
12- This release also includes a Theatrical Bluray disc and all the features that come with that release.

NOTES:
This excellent box set is full of features. The "Fleischer Studios Superman Animated Shorts" feature shows up on the Superman II disc so the only feature you are missing is the Theatrical Serials DVD promo (which is actually just a commercial) and the text notes from the standard DVD.

NOTES:
The "Superman- The Legacy" production notes on the standard DVD will complete your feature set. Then add the new Extended Edition Bluray for that version of the film. It's a safe bet that all the Superman films will be released again in some sort of box set like the Motion Picture Anthology but this time including the new Extended Cut so keep that in mind if you are building a Superman collection from scratch as it might be better to wait for that inevitable double-dip. If you must also have the Theatrical Serials Promo then you will also have to the Ultimate Collector's Edition DVD (or at least the "You Will Believe" Bonus DVD from that set).
