Get both the Target and Best Buy exclusive releases for their respective bonus DVDs for the most (runtime wise) content specific to this season. That, of course, means you will have two copies of the Season discs but it can't be avoided unless you can find one of the bonus discs selling separately somewhere. You still won't have the Photo Gallery from the DVD release or the features on the Complete Series bonus disc but you will have nearly 2 hours of content specific to this season. |

If you thought having to get 2 copies of the Season discs for the CORE set was a problem you are going to hate this set as you will have 3 copies of the season discs on Bluray and 1 on DVD! As noted in the CORE set, the retailer exclusive sets have their respective bonus discs but you also need the DVD release for its exclusive Photo Gallery feature. Then to top it all off, you need the Complete Series set (it is available in both DVD and Bluray and the bonus disc matches the format) which gives you the bonus disc and its features. As noted in the footnotes above all of the features on that bonus disc that are specific to this season can be found on the UK REGION B Bluray release. If you are only concerned with this particular season and you don't mind losing the 3 features on the Complete Series bonus disc that cover the entire Dexter series, then you can grab the Region B release instead of the Complete Series. That is, of course, assuming you can play Region B discs in your player. |
